We look forward to hosting the Angus Youth of the world in Australia for the World Angus Forum in 2021.
Each Angus Association around the world is invited to nominate teams of four to participate in this competition and educational opportunity.
The Youth event will begin in Sydney, New South Wales on Monday the 19th April 2021 and culminate with the awards presentation at the conclusion of the technical forum in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory on Wednesday the 28th of April.
Along the way teams will be involved in public speaking, cattle assessment, cattle preparation and handling, a young farmers challenge, team topic presentations and team building activities, while also being given the opportunity for farm visits during the tours and being able to attend the technical sessions and any associated social functions. A final program will be distributed, when it has been finalised.
At this stage we do not have a price set for team nominations, but anticipate that we will be able to notify you of this by September 2020. The team nomination fee will cover all meals, travel, accommodation (check in Sunday the 18th of April – check out Thursday the 29th of April 2021) and activities for the duration of the competition. Any youth participants wishing to be a part of the post tour from Thursday the 29th of April, from Canberra to Rockhampton, Queensland On Monday the 3rd of May 2021, will be required to make a separate booking.
Participants will need to be 18 – 25 years of age as at Monday the 19th of April 2021.
Associations that are not able to send a team of 4 are still invited to be a part of the World Angus Forum 2021 Youth Competition and should make contact with Angus Australia to discuss this further.
